For more than 45 years we’ve been helping people overcome addiction, heal unresolved emotional trauma, and develop the tools they need to transform their lives.
The Meadows Model, also known as the Developmental Model of Immaturity, is our groundbreaking, trauma-informed approach to treatment based on the pioneering work of Meadows Senior Fellow Pia Mellody.
We use cutting-edge methods and state-of-the-art equipment to aid in grounding and self-regulation. Neuro- and biofeedback help to retrain the brain, making it possible to confront deeper issues with less anxiety and more peace of mind.
Our handpicked team of Senior Fellows represents excellence and experience in a range of specialties. Each Senior Fellow is involved in worldwide practice and research in their area of expertise, and their oversight constantly challenges us to excel.
At The Meadows, we treat the whole person by blending modern therapeutic practices with holistic methods. Group and one-on-one sessions, Somatic Experiencing, and EMDR take place alongside tai chi, mindfulness, expressive arts, and equine therapy to create a comprehensive program.

All patients admitted to The Meadows must undergo a routine screening process designed to locate key factors that can determine a patient’s viability, including:
We understand our role as stewards in the care of your patient and we take every precaution to ensure they receive the level of care needed to either continue or begin the road to healing.
