Why Refer to The MEadows?

The Meadows Model

The Meadows Model, also known as the Developmental Model of Immaturity, is our groundbreaking, trauma-informed approach to treatment based on the pioneering work of Meadows Senior Fellow Pia Mellody.

Brain Center

We use cutting-edge methods and state-of-the-art equipment to aid in grounding and self-regulation. Neuro- and biofeedback help to retrain the brain, making it possible to confront deeper issues with less anxiety and more peace of mind.

Senior Fellow Oversight

Our handpicked team of Senior Fellows represents excellence and experience in a range of specialties. Each Senior Fellow is involved in worldwide practice and research in their area of expertise, and their oversight constantly challenges us to excel.

Advanced Therapies

At The Meadows, we treat the whole person by blending modern therapeutic practices with holistic methods. Group and one-on-one sessions, Somatic Experiencing, and EMDR take place alongside tai chi, mindfulness, expressive arts, and equine therapy to create a comprehensive program.

Unique Workshops

Survivors I is an essential component of The Meadows inpatient treatment program. In a safe, supportive environment, this signature workshop helps patients discover the origins that fuel harmful behaviors by looking at addiction, trauma, mood disorders, and troubling relationships.

Family Programming

Addiction doesn’t just impact one person, it causes a ripple effect, putting a significant strain on families and relationships. We recognize that and incorporate loved ones into the treatment process, extending opportunities for healing to the whole family.

Case Management

Understanding the Screening Process

All patients admitted to The Meadows must undergo a routine screening process designed to locate key factors that can determine a patient’s viability, including:

  • Co-occurring disorders
  • Recent hospitalizations
  • Preexisting medical conditions
  • Suicide attempts

We understand our role as stewards in the care of your patient and we take every precaution to ensure they receive the level of care needed to either continue or begin the road to healing.
