Confronting Alcohol Addiction

“I have succeeded with The Meadows where others failed. I have over a year now without a drink for the first time in 20 years … I am very grateful to The Meadows [Texas] and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Paul M.

Alcohol addiction is often difficult to detect and confront for a variety of reasons. If someone remains high functioning in work and relationships while abusing alcohol, it can be especially challenging to acknowledge when there’s a problem.

Additionally, some people may not know how much is too much. Alcohol becomes an seemingly easy way to mask emotional and physical pain. Prolonged alcohol abuse that may start recreationally can become a dependency that takes control of a person’s life.

If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction to alcohol, we are here to help with personalized care options to make sure your treatment needs are met. Join us on a path towards hope and healing.

Paying for Treatment

Admitting you need help is hard enough without worrying about how you’re going to pay for it. Our admissions specialists are trained to work with your insurance company to determine the highest level of coverage for which you qualify. We will walk you through the process and go over your financial options with you.

The Meadows Texas is in-network with:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Magellan
  • MultiPlan
  • Cigna
  • UnitedHealthcare|Optum
  • & many more

Financing Options

Our main concern is providing treatment and helping people find a more fulfilling life in recovery. When insurance coverage does not apply, our admissions/financial coordinators will review costs and payment options, working with patients to make arrangements that fit their financial situation. Financing for treatment may also be available through CareCredit, which is not affiliated with Meadows Behavioral Healthcare.

Serious Help for a Serious Problem

Alcohol abuse can start innocently enough, but when the brain begins to signal an intense physical need to continue to use alcohol, addiction takes over.

If left untreated alcohol addiction can result in diminished health, job loss, and estrangement from loved ones. While alcohol may offer short-term relief from struggles, extended use only exacerbates the problem since the root cause wasn’t addressed.

We treat much more than addiction at The Meadows Texas. By addressing your physical, emotional, and mental health, our treatment team helps you rediscover who you were meant to be and find complete healing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need treatment?

If everyday life has become unmanageable because of substance use, unresolved emotional trauma, uncontrollable mood disorders, or compulsive behavior, then you should consider treatment. If dysfunctional behaviors have had a negative effect on your job, relationships, finances, or health, then you should contact a professional counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or addiction specialist who can better assess the situation.

Insurance plans and benefits vary greatly. While The Meadows Texas has no control over the outcome of the insurance reviews, our highly trained staff will work hard to obtain the maximum benefit allowed by a patient’s company or carrier. Our Intake Department can help guide you through this process.

Family involvement is considered to be a significant aid in long-term recovery for patients. Our Family Program is designed to assist patients and family members in developing a healthy family system. Our experience shows that when family members work together in support of one another, dysfunctional cycles can be broken and intergenerational patterns can be arrested.

Detox, or detoxification, cleanses the blood through your body’s natural process of metabolizing alcohol and drugs, therefore neutralizing poisonous and harmful substances. If you have used alcohol or drugs for your body to feel normal, then you should seek help to guide you through the withdrawal process from those substances. The effects of withdrawal on your body and mind can be uncomfortable and dangerous and should be completed under strict supervision of a qualified provider.

Addiction is an insidious disease, and when you or a loved one needs help it can be hard to know where to turn. We understand. That’s why we have highly trained intake coordinators ready to walk you through a free, brief, and confidential screening.
